Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak appears to be leaving the club.
Aston Villa’s Libor Kozak
Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak has taken to Instagram today in order to confirm his departure from the club and say goodbye to the club’s supporters.
Kozak, 27, joined Villa from Italian side Lazio back in 2013, with fans fairly optimistic about his arrival after hitting 22 goals in 80 games for the Serie A giants.
The Czech beanpole, who stands at over 6ft 3in tall, hit four goals in 15 games in his first season with the club as a broken leg sustained in training curtailed his impact, but that set the tone for the rest of his time at Villa Park.
Kozak failed to make any appearances during the 2014-15 season as he endured complications with his broken leg, and after just five games last term, Kozak has again struggled to feature this season.

The striker hasn’t started a league game this season, making just two substitute appearances to the total of 75 minutes of Championship action, with Steve Bruce seemingly left unconvinced by the attacker.
With his contract expiring this summer, many expected Kozak’s four-year stint at Villa Park to come to an end given that he played just 22 appearances during his time with the club – and his departure appears to have confirmed.
Kozak took to Instagram earlier today to thank fans for their support over the last four years, admitting that he has endured a difficult time at Villa Park due to all of his injuries.
Kozak added that he ‘closing a chapter and starting a new one’, revealing that he is leaving Villa this summer, before wishing the club the best of luck for the future as they look to return to the Premier League.
