Aston Villa are the in-form team in the Championship and have won eight games on the bounce.

Sky Sports pundit Liam Rosenior has stated that Aston Villa’s Conor Hourihane should be scoring more goals following his side’s 2-1 win over Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.
The 28-year-old put his name on the scoresheet for the home team as Villa secured a valuable three points against their promotion-chasing rivals.
Truthfully, the left-footed midfielder should have scored more in the game because he had two efforts saved at point-blank range by opposition goalkeeper Max O’Leary.
Speaking to EFL Championship Goals on Sky Sports Football (13/04/2019 at 8:10 pm), former promotion-winner, Rosenior spoke about Hourihane’s technique and his game.
“He should [get more goal],” Rosenior told Sky Sports Football. “It depends on the role he is playing because at times Aston Villa they have so many good attacking midfield players the likes of Grealish etc.
“El Ghazi set him up really well and that’s a fantastic strike [from Hourihane]. That’s so difficult to do on the swivel. And you have to have great technique to do it. He’s got that. Yes, he can score more goals, but he’s had to play deeper a lot of the time this season, which stops them getting into the areas.”

For large parts of his career, Hourihane has been deployed as a number six alongside a defensive-minded midfielder in Glenn Whelan or Mile Jedinak.
But since Dean Smith’s arrival, he has been utilised in many roles, mainly because of injuries from playing a deeper role to the number eight role he played at the weekend.
Over the course of the season, Hourihane has played 39 league games for his side, scoring seven goals and supplying his teammates with 11 assists [transfermarkt].
