Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers sold Liam Kelly to Livingston this summer, with Gers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham having advised him on his future.
Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham
Ibrox club Rangers sold Kelly to Scottish Premiership rivals Livingston in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper had been on the books of Rangers since 2006, but the youngster failed to break into the Gers’ first team, and had loan spells at East Fife and Livingston in 2016-17.
Kelly, who faced the Gers in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, has revealed that Rangers first-team goalkeeper Foderingham suggested to him that it was time to leave.
“Everybody I spoke to told me it was time to go,” Kelly told The Sunday Post. “Wes Foderingham and Jim Stewart all agreed that it was time to go and get games somewhere. I wouldn’t get that at Rangers.”

Flourishing at Livingston
Kelly is a very talented and promising young goalkeeper, and the former Rangers man is doing well at Livingston.
It would have been hard for the 22-year-old to even feature in cup games this season, with even Foderingham struggling for playing time due to the arrival of Allan McGregor in the summer transfer window on a free.
