Liam Henderson has decided to leave Celtic after 10 years at Parkhead.

Liam Henderson has posted a heartfelt message to Celtic fans after the playmaker finally decided to end his decade-long association with the club by making a surprise move to Serie B side Bari.
The 21-year-old joined Celtic’s youth academy aged just 11 but with his contract running out at Parkhead under Brendan Rodgers, he decided to leave the club. A successful trial at Bari saw him offered a contract.

The nine-time Scotland Under-21 international, who enjoyed loans with rivals Hibernian and Norweigan outfit Rosenborg during his time at Celtic, put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal with Bari.
It sees the attacking midfielder continue his career under the guidance of 2006 World Cup winner Fabio Grosso, and Henderson sent a message to Celtic fans on Twitter, stating “thank you for the great memories”.
Henderson made his debut for Celtic aged just 18 and two months under Ronny Deila in a Champions League qualifier against KR Reykjavík in July 2014 and went on to make 37 appearances for the Hoops – scoring three times.
Celtic fans reacted to his Tweet by sending Henderson a whole host of good luck messages as he embarks on a new, slightly surprising stage of his career. One fan even claimed he is “twice the player Armstrong is”.
