Celtic owned youngster Liam Henderson has explained in the Glasgow Evening Times where he feels loan side Rosenborg are similar to the Bhoys.
The 19-year-old will see his loan deal with the Norwegian side expire at the end of June and he’s admitted that he loves life in the city, with the decision over whether he stays resting with Bhoys boss Ronny Deila.
“The intensity of the training here is very similar to what we have at Celtic. I like it here and I am trying to learn as much as I can,” he said.
“There is a fantastic team spirit in the squad and I love being in Rosenborg. So you never know. We will see what happens.”
Deila should be pleased with the impact Henderson has had and the way he’s continuing to develop.
The Celtic boss will most likely want the player back at the club to judge his development, but considering his comparison between the two clubs, it would be remarkable if Deila doesn’t offer him the chance to stay with Rosenborg if he doesn’t plan to use him.
What Deila will be looking for from Henderson’s loan spell is progression in different forms.
He will want to see him improve as a player and also improve physically and he seems to be ticking both boxes at the moment.
Whether he can break into a group which has some very good players in the form of Scott Brown, Nir Bitton, Stefan Johansen and others remains to be seen but it’s clear that the Bhoys have a very special young talent on their hands.
