It’s a sad day for football. Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has decided to hang up his boots after being diagnosed with a heart condition.

It’s truly awful to see one of the game’s all-time greats having to cut his career short, but he leaves the sport with one hell of a legacy.

Nobody will ever forget his goal against QPR, while hat-tricks against Manchester United, his incredible Premier League debut and his five-haul goal against Newcastle will go down in Manchester City folklore.

As you can imagine, City fans have been paying tribute to Aguero since his announcement, and former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has sent the Argentine a message.

Gallagher is known to be a massive City fan, and like every other Cityzen, he seemingly absolutely adores Aguero.

Gallagher calls Aguero untouchable in his message, and in many respects, he is.

Nobody can match his minutes per goal ratio in Premier League history, while he’s also City’s club-record goalscorer.

We can’t iterate enough just how much of a legend Aguero is and it’s been an absolute honour to watch him play in the Premier League during the peak of his career.

Aguero should take Gallagher’s advice and put his feet up, because he’s absolutely earned the right to enjoy his retirement.
