Liam Cooper will be hoping to be fit for Leeds United’s clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Leeds United captain Liam Cooper will accompany boxer Josh Warrington to the ring prior to his IBF featherweight showdown against Carl Frampton on Saturday night.
Boyhood Leeds fan Warrington confirmed on his personal Twitter account that Cooper will be alongside him for his ring walk as he looks to defend his belt against the Northern Irishman.
The bout will take place less than 24 hours before Leeds’ Championship showdown at promotion rivals Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
Cooper, who has been out of action with a knee injury since the start of the month, returned to training on Wednesday as the club confirmed on their official Twitter account.
The 27-year-old, who has been a regular feature for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season, will be hoping to be fit enough to make the starting XI at Villa Park.
In his absence, youngster Kalvin Phillips has stepped in at the heart of the club’s defence alongside Pontus Jansson, as Leeds have continued their march at the top of the table.

Bielsa’s men hold a one-point lead over second-placed Norwich City and a further five-point lead over third-placed West Brom after winning five games on the bounce.
However, the Yorkshire outfit will now come up against a team that is unbeaten in their last seven matches, the second highest goalscorers in the division, with only one defeat on home soil this term.
