Leeds United will face Middlesbrough at Elland Road in the Championship this weekend.

Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has told LUTV that the club have a better fanbase than Middlesbrough do.

The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Middlesbrough at home in the Championship this weekend.

The Whites will head into the game at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon determined and needing to win.

Leeds have dropped out of the Championship playoff places and are struggling for results at the moment.

Ahead of the match, 26-year-old Cooper, who can operate as a central defender or as a left-back, has taken a cheeky dig at Middlesbrough over their fanbase.

“Yes definitely, two big clubs obviously with good fanbase,” Cooper told LUTV when asked the intensity of the match. “Obviously ours is a lot better than theirs.”

Leeds are not playing as well as they are supposed to, and Middlesbrough will head into the match on Sunday afternoon high on confidence.

Garry Monk’s side are in better form and will probably be the favourites to pick up all three points from the encounter.

For the Whites to win or draw, the fans at Elland Road need to get behind the team and make it intimidating for the Boro players.
