Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has found life tough during the early stages of his international career.

Leeds United defender Liam Cooper isn’t receiving good reviews from supporters as he started his second game for Scotland, who suffered a 4-0 defeat to Belgium on Monday night.
Centre-back Cooper started at the heart of Scotland’s defence as the Leeds man came up against a Belgium team with some serious attacking threat.
Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku was one of the goalscorers on the night, as Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne provided three assists and also found the back of the net.
For some time, Cooper has been impressing for Leeds and there have been calls for him to earn an international call, but supporters watching him play aren’t seemingly happy with what they are seeing.
In Cooper’s defence, whoever plays at the back for Scotland in their current status, they are going to seriously struggle – One of Europe’s best left-backs in Andy Robertson is a prime example of that because he looks the shadow of the player that performs for Liverpool, week in and week out.

But for now, the players that are being selected to play in defence for the Scots are in the firing line, as Cooper is one of many being slaughtered by angry supporters.
At club level, he has started off the season in a strong fashion, but he hasn’t been able to take that form onto the international stage, where it is no doubt even tougher.
