The 21-year-old goalkeeper made a mistake for the visiting team’s opening goal, as the West Yorkshire outfit lost 2-1.
Leeds defender and captain Cooper, 27, has revealed what he told the Northern Ireland international about his mistake against Birmingham.
Cooper told Leeds’s official website: “The first goal, Bailey Peacock-Farrell is a young lad and is going to make mistakes.
“I’ve spoken to him and told him to keep his head up, these things are going to happen and they are inevitable in football.”
Bouncing back
The mistake against Birmingham was Peacock-Farrell’s first costly one so far in his career, and the youngster will recover and bounce back.
Goalkeepers do make mistakes, and given that the Northern Ireland international is only 21 years of age, he is bound to make some from time to time.
What is important is that Leeds head coach Bielsa and the players show him support.
Leeds will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Sheffield Wednesday away from home in the Championship.
