Leeds midfielder Ronaldo Vieira has been called up by the England Under-20’s.

Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has taken to Twitter in order to send a message of congratulations to team-mate Ronaldo Vieira after his call-up to the England Under-20’s squad.
Vieira, 18, was born in Guinea-Bissau and was raised in Portugal, spending time in the ranks with Benfica before he and his family moved to England in 2011.
Having come up through the ranks with Leeds, Vieira was handed his debut by Steve Evans on the final day of last season, and he has really kicked on under Garry Monk’s tutelage.
Vieira has been a regular in a Leeds that almost reached the play-offs, making 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring once in the process as he continues to develop at Elland Road.

Vieira has received plaudits for his performances all season, and now he has received additional recognition today, having been called up by the England Under-20’s for the upcoming Toulon Tournament.
The midfielder is part of an 18-man squad that will travel over to France next week, and he could feature until June 10th, with Leeds boss Monk no doubt hoping that he doesn’t pick up an injury or tire himself out.

Whilst Vieira can play for Guinea-Bissau or Portugal, England now appear to be in the box seat for Vieira’s services at senior level, particularly if he can impress for the Three Lions as much as he has for Leeds.
After his inclusion in the squad was confirmed, Leeds defender Liam Cooper took to Twitter to state that he is ‘buzzing’ for the teenager, congratulating his team-mate on such a prestigious honour.
