Liam Cooper has penned his long-term future to Leeds United.

Liam Cooper has stated on Twitter that it is a ‘very proud’ day for him after he signed a new long-term contract with Leeds United.
The Yorkshire club confirmed on their official website that centre-back Cooper, along with Stuart Dallas, have signed new deals with the Championship club.
Both players have been key members of Marcelo Bielsa’s squad in recent seasons and they will be even more important in their bid to reach the Premier League.
After penning down a new deal, Cooper, who was recently on international duty with Scotland, sent this message to supporters from his personal Twitter account.
It would no doubt have been a proud few weeks for Cooper, who recently made his Scotland debut and now he has secured his future at Elland Road.
But he will be well aware that the work doesn’t stop there because as he mentioned in his Twitter message, the ‘ultimate’ goal is to help the club earn promotion to England’s top-flight.

Following the departure of Pontus Jansson in the summer, Cooper became an even more important figure at the back for Leeds because of the experience he has on his shoulders.
But it seems as though he has found a near-perfect partner in Ben White, who has started off the season in a very strong fashion following his loan move from Brighton in the summer.
At this moment in time, Leeds are sitting third in the Championship table and at the weekend, they will take on neighbours Barnsley as they bid to break into the automatic places.
