Liam Cooper has commended the professionalism of Leeds United teammate Stuart Dallas.
Dallas revealed to BBC West Yorkshire Sport that he has recently lost one of his best friends in sudden circumstances.
The Leeds star pulled out of Northern Ireland’s squad in early September due to personal reasons.
Speaking to Adam Pope, Dallas, who later tested positive for the coronavirus, spoke in detail of the off-the-field issues which he has struggled with this season.
And here’s how Cooper reacted to the interview on Twitter:
Spot on
The word ‘professional’ and Dallas just go hand-in-hand.
No matter what is asked of the Leeds player, he gives 100 percent everytime he pulls on a United shirt.
This is a player who has been asked to play a lot of different positions by a lot of different managers at Elland Road down the years.
But no matter where he plays, Leeds will get an eight-out-of-10 from him and Cooper couldn’t have chosen a better word to describe his teammate.
Last season, the Cookstown-raised star picked up Leeds’ Player of the Year award after netting eight Premier League goals, including a double away to eventual champions Manchester City.
In doing so, he brought Pablo Hernandez’s reign to an end after the Spanish magician won the award three years running.
