Leeds United claimed a fantastic 1-0 win in the Championship, but there was one major negative for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.

Liam Cooper has admitted on Twitter that he is gutted after having to come off during Leeds’ 1-0 win away at Sheffield United on Saturday, while Pontus Jansson labelled the team a squad of warriors.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men went to the top of the Championship for a few hours after Pablo Hernandez scored the game’s only goal in the latter stages of the contest at Bramall Lane.
It was a pulsating game considering that it only had one goal. And with bragging rights up for grabs, Leeds have every reason to be delighted with the result. However, Bielsa’s side did not have everything go their way.
Cooper had to be taken off after 21 minutes after appearing to be pick up a knee injury. The incident was particularly worrying as the centre-back did not appear to have anyone around him when he sustained the problem, and he struggled to walk off the field.

And unfortunately for Leeds supporters, Cooper’s post-match message certainly hints that he could miss a decent period. The centre-back – who has been a colossus lately – alluded to some recovery time being ahead…
The setback appeared to galvanise Leeds. Aapo Halme impressed when he came on, and the Whites managed to keep the Blades at bay when they put the visitors under pressure.

It was arguably one of the most important performances that the club have put in under Bielsa, and Jansson perhaps summed up best how much unity exists between the squad with his own tweet after the victory.
Here is Jansson’s post…
