The West Yorkshire outfit returned to winning ways in the Championship with a 3-0 victory over Preston at Elland Road.
The 25-year-old, who can play as a centre-back or as a left-back, did not feature in the match as he is suspended.
The former Hull City and Chesterfield defender has been suspended for six matches by the Football Association for stamping on Reading midfielder Reece Oxford, according to The Daily Mail.
Cooper has admitted on Twitter that he was gutted not to be involved in the win against Preston, but the Scotsman is pleased with the final result.
The win against Preston at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon saw Leeds bounce back from back-to-back away defeats to Reading and Brentford.
Garry Monk’s side are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 72 points from 41 matches.
