Liam Cooper is out of action for Leeds United after suffering a knee injury.

Cooper underwent an operation yesterday and will not play again in 2018.

The defender posted a tweet confirming the op had been a success, and received messages from ex Leeds colleagues.

Cooper received a message from the defender who he ended up replacing at Leeds, Jason Pearce.

The pair played alongside each other in 2014/15, before Neil Redfearn decided to hand Cooper the captaincy mid-season.

Pearce was dropped and later sold. He now plays for Charlton In League One.

Clearly there are no hard feelings between the pals.
