Tyler Roberts stole the show for Leeds United last time out.

Leeds United's Tyler Roberts celebrates scoring his side's second goal

Liam Cooper has admitted to Leeds United’s YouTube channel that it feels ‘horrible’ to be victimised by Tyler Roberts’s skill in training.

Roberts had arguably his best game in a Leeds shirt last Friday as Marcelo Bielsa’s side thumped West Brom 4-0 at Elland Road.

The Wales international, playing as a number 10, set up both of Patrick Bamford’s goals, but the assist for the second was exceptional.

The 20-year-old, a £4 million signing in 2018 [The Daily Mail], used a few Ronaldo-like step-overs to beat Jake Livermore in midfield, before releasing the Whites striker who made it 3-0.

And centre-back Cooper knows exactly how Livermore felt after being done by the trickery.

He said on Leeds’ YouTube channel: “I’ve been on the receiving end of this [Roberts’s skill] a few times. Honestly, it’s horrible when he has you squared up like that.”

Leeds fans will be desperate to see Roberts stay in an advanced midfield role for this afternoon’s trip to Bristol City.

The former West Brom man is a striker by trade, but he has shown real promise as a playmaker and it’ll be interesting to see if he can reproduce his heroics at Ashton Gate.
