Leeds United have enjoyed a bright start to the Championship season, and Cooper has explained the message that Monk often tells his squad.
Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has told BBC Radio Leeds that Garry Monk often reminds his players that they should not fear anyone in the Championship.
The Whites have enjoyed arguably their most promising start to a season since their return to the second tier. They go into their Boxing Day clash with Preston North End fifth in the table, and outsiders are beginning to talk about Leeds as genuine promotion contenders.

And Cooper has suggested that their recent form has been down to the mentality that Monk has instilled in his squad since his arrival in the summer.
“We’ve just got to keep going with what we’ve been doing,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.
“The manager’s on to us to not fear anyone in this league and I think the confidence is showing especially in the lads’ performances. I’ve not played so much myself but everyone’s behind what the gaffer’s trying to tell us and we’re all buying into that and it’s showing out on the pitch.”

What perhaps best supports Cooper’s theory on the side’s confidence is the way that they have bounced back from recent defeats.
The Peacocks have lost three of their last seven games in all competitions. Yet rather than allow each defeat to be the start of the kind of losing run that they went through at the beginning of the campaign, they have responded with a victory on every occasion.
And that ability to put the previous result behind them could be vital when the season begins to reach the business end.
