Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has defended his teammate Luke Ayling on social networking site Twitter.

Ayling gave away a penalty during the Championship game between Leeds and Middlesbrough at the weekend.

That did not affect the final result, though, as the Whites got the better of Boro 2-1 at Elland Road in the Championship game.

Cooper, who can operate as a central defender or a left-back and is one of the best players in the current Leeds team, has defended his teammate Ayling, who can play as a defender or as a defensive midfielder.
