Leeds United returned to pre-season training this week.
Christiansen was named as Garry Monk’s successor at Elland Road earlier this month, taking on a head coach role with Leeds.
The Whites returned for pre-season training this week and Cooper reveals that the Dane’s “biggest message” for the squad was on buying into his ideas.

Asked about his first impressions of the 44-year-old, Cooper told LUTV: “Yeah, good. Very organised.
“The manager has come in with new ideas and I think his biggest message was for us to buy into it.
“I’m sure all the lads will – we have a young group. We all want to be coached and I’m sure we’ll get that.”
Cooper will certainly be among those hoping to impress the new man as the 25-year-old aims to enjoy a more productive season than last time out.
The centre-back spent a lot of last season on the bench as Kyle Bartley – who has returned to parent club Swansea City – and Pontus Jansson struck up a formidable partnership in the heart of Leeds’ defence.
Christiansen and Director of Football Victor Orta will likely be in the market for another centre-half, but Cooper, who started eight Championship games last season, has a chance to stake an early claim by impressing the former Spain international over the coming weeks.
