Rangers talent is back in action and hopes to soon be starring for first team at Ibrox.
Rangers youngster Liam Burt returned to action yesterday for the development squad, playing for the first time in months.
Burt underwent a hip operation back in August and he has been conspicuous at Ibrox by his absence.
The teenager made his debut for the first team at just 16 and there are high hopes for the attacking midfielder.
Burt is a Scotland youth international and has a chance to become a first team regular if he can stay injury free.
He came on as a replacement for Joe Dodoo yesterday to feature for half an hour in the 2-1 under-20 win over Falkirk.
Burt even managed to grab an assist offering a brief glimpse of what can do.
He sent a message after the game expressing his happiness at playing football again.
Burt turns 19 next month and needs a big end to the season to earn a prominent role in pre-season next year.
He could yet force his way into the first team this season, with manager Graeme Murty a big fan, and unafraid to give youngsters their chances, but he must prove his fitness and sharpness first.
Former Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn responded to Burt’s message, congratulating him on his comeback.
