Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers midfielder Liam Burt was loaned out last season, but he wants to make an impact this time around.

Burt was called into Rangers’ first-team two years ago, but his progress has stalled in recent times.
The midfielder has suffered badly with injury, and was sent out on loan by former Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha last term.

It leaves the youngster’s future at Ibrox in some doubt, especially after more upheaval this summer.
But Burt is hopeful that he can have an impact on Gerrard’s starting line-up next term.
He said: “I’ve not spoken to the new manager yet. I’ve obviously been away. But hopefully I can show him what I can do in pre-season and push on. It’s exciting times.
“I don’t know if I got the expectation on me too soon, but it was difficult to be involved with the first team and then drop down.

“It has been tough, but I need to show I’m mentally strong enough to get through that.”
Burt could have even more competition for a place in Rangers’ line-up next term, as Gerrard is expected to make numerous additions.
Gerrard has already brought in Scott Arfield and Josh Windass, and Rangers could strengthen their midfield even more in the coming weeks.
Burt made 15 appearances on a loan spell at Dumbarton last season, scoring once and claiming an assist.
