Nottingham Forest midfielder Liam Bridcutt was already struggling for game time, before Aitor Karanka made a host of additions.

Liam Bridcutt’s future at Nottingham Forest now appears to be in doubt, after Aitor Karanka’s transfer dealings in the past week.
Forest have brought in Panagiotis Tachtsidis and Claudio Yacob on free transfers to seriously bolster their midfield ranks.
And Bridcutt’s future at Forest has to now come into sharp focus, with Karanka boasting such a bloated midfield line-up.
Forest now have eight central midfielders competing for just two places, and that is surely unsustainable over the long-term.
Bridcutt’s place now looks in serious doubt, given that he was already struggling to break into Karanka’s side.

Bridcutt put in an excellent performance in the Carabao Cup against Newcastle United, but that remains the former Leeds United man’s only appearance this season.
Bridcutt has had to watch from the sidelines, as his Forest teammates have embarked on their Championship campaign, and it could be that the 29-year-old now has to move on when the transfer window opens again.
