Liam Bridcutt and Pablo Hernandez are among a number of players to have joined Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
Newly-signed Leeds United defensive midfielder Liam Bridcutt has told BBC Radio Leeds that with Pablo Hernandez in the team, they could do very well this season.
Bridcutt, who had a loan spell at Leeds last season, recently joined the West Yorkshire outfit on a permanent contract from Premier League outfit Sunderland.
Hernandez is also a summer signing for the Whites, having joined the former Premier League club on loan from Al-Arabi earlier this month.
The 31-year-old Spaniard has played in La Liga and in the Premier League in his career so far, and can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.
Bridcutt has made positive comments about the former Swansea City star.
“That could be a possibility,” Bridcutt told BBC Radio Leeds when asked about his arrival allowing Hernandez to play in the number 10 position.
“That’s down to the manager’s decision really, the formation or the personnel. I think with his quality, we could do very well.”
Leeds are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, but Garry Monk’s side have made a disappointing start to the league campaign.
The West Yorkshire outfit kicked off their season with a 3-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers away from home at Loftus Road in London and then slumped to a 2-1 loss to Birmingham City at Elland Road.
On Tuesday evening, the Whites played out a 1-1 draw with Fulham at home in the Championship.
