Speaking on The Stand with Eamon Dunphy, Liam Brady has been discussing Patrick Vieira and a potential move to Arsenal for the Crystal Palace manager.
The Frenchman is doing a stellar job in south London this season. He’s got the Eagles playing some very exciting football, and he’s helped develop some brilliant players.
Three Palace players have made the latest England squad, and that’s a credit to the job Vieira is doing at Selhurst Park.
Inevitably, the Arsenal legend’s incredible debut season in the Premier League as a manager had led to speculation about an eventual return to north London, and Brady believes that the higher-ups at the Emirates will have an eye on Vieira.
What’s been said?
Brady gave his view on Vieira.
“Vieira has given these players a belief in themselves, they’re entertaining and I know a few Palace fans and they say that even when they lose they’re playing well. They did well against City, and he’s doing a good job. There’s a lot of Arsenal fans that feel Vieira would love to come back to Arsenal. Arteta is doing a good job right now, so it’s not going to happen, but people in charge at the Emirates are watching closely and so are the fans,” Brady said.

Keep an eye on him
Arsenal would be wise to have one eye on what Vieira is doing at Palace.
Of course, Mikel Arteta’s job is safe at the moment, but with PSG and Manchester City apparently looking at the Spaniard, Arsenal could lose their manager in the not so distant future.
If Arteta goes, the Gunners could do a lot worse than bringing Vieira in. He’s working wonders with his young core at Palace, and the fans already adore him from his playing days.
