Glasgow Rangers were delighted to bring Bruno Alves to Ibrox this summer, but he has not convinced Light Blues supporters.

Rangers fought back to win over Hibernian, but only after an early horror show from Bruno Alves.
The veteran Portugal international struggled in the early stages, and was at fault for Hibernian’s opener.
Rangers fans lambasted Alves as a ‘liability’, expressing that they expected better from the experienced defender.

Alves’ early error left the Gers with a mountain to climb at Easter Road, but they hit back impressively with strikes from Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos.
Alves improved in the second half but the damage was done… the lasting impression from this match was his early gaffe.
The timing was not great for Alves to put in a performance like this, with Rangers bidding to win their fourth game in a row.
They managed to do so, but it was despite the veteran.
The Daily Mail had reported yesterday that Rangers could seek to sell Alves in January. This performance did not help anybody.
