Garth Crooks has criticised Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris on BBC Sport for his performance against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby at the weekend.
Tottenham suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in the Premier League.
France international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was directly at fault for one of the goals that the Gunners scored.
Brazil international striker Gabriel Jesus found the back of the net in the 49th minute.
Lloris fumbled badly to allow the former Manchester City striker to score.
Former Tottenham forward Crooks has criticised the £100,000-a-week (Spotrac) Tottenham goalkeeper, and believes that the Frenchman is a liability.

Hugo Lloris criticised for Tottenham Hotspur mistake v Arsenal
Crooks wrote: “Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris makes ordinary saves look unnecessarily spectacular and is a liability in the games that matter.”
Bouncing back
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be disappointed with himself for his mistake against Arsenal.
It was avoidable.
And the Frenchman will be fully aware of that.
However, all players make mistakes, and goalkeepers’ errors are often more highlighted than anybody else’s.
We think that Lloris will bounce back from this error, just like he has done in the past.
The Frenchman has made mistakes from time to time in his career, but he has always come back stronger from them.
