Leeds have completed the signing of Leyton Orient youngster Sam Dalby.

Leyton Orient Director of Football has told the club’s official website that the National League side have received a “good deal” for the sale of young striker Sam Dalby to Leeds United.
Dalby, 18, has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal at Elland Road, becoming the latest player to join the Under-23 side which includes recent signings such as Ryan Edmondson, Aapo Halme and Kamil Miazek.
The striker will link up with Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, rivalling the likes of Kun Temenuzhkov, Adrian Balboa, Edmondson and even Jay-Roy Grot.
Leyton Orient, who now play in the National League, agreed to let Dalby leave as he had just a matter of months remaining on his previous contract. Ling believes Orient have benefited from the move.
“I would like to wish Sam the best of luck in his future career and thank him for his efforts over his time at the Club. This was a good deal and opportunity for both the Club and the player, and therefore was difficult to turn down,” Ling said.

The 6ft 3in striker made 16 appearances in League Two last season only for the club to be relegated into non-league football, where Dalby was afforded just two senior appearances in the league this term.
Leeds’ second string face Yorkshire rivals Barnsley away from home on Friday afternoon and that could be the first chance for Dalby to impress.
