Huddersfield Town are preparing to sell Lewis O’Brien to Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United, according to The Mirror (print edition, page 64, August 22, 2021).
It has been reported that Championship club Huddersfield value O’Brien at £8 million.
Premier League outfit Leeds are keen on the 22-year-old midfielder, but they have yet to reach the Terriers’ valuation.
However, Huddersfield ‘are preparing’ to sell the youngster to Leeds, according to the report.
Exciting update for Leeds United fans
Although a fee has yet to be agreed between the two clubs, this report suggests that Huddersfield think that Leeds will meet their demands.
Or at least the two clubs will come to some sort of an arrangement.
After all, why else would Huddersfield be ‘preparing’ to sell O’Brien?

Moreover the youngster himself wants to move to Leeds.
That was reported by The Sun earlier this month (8 August, page 67).
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Either Leeds will eventually pay the £8 million that Huddersfield are looking for, or the Championship club will sell for a slightly lower fee.
O’Brien scored three goals and gave three assists in 39 Championship starts for Huddersfield last season.
The 22-year-old midfielder has played twice in the Championship this campaign.
