Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic signed Lewis Morgan from St. Mirren in the January transfer window.

Morgan moved to Celtic from St Mirren in the January transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £300,000, and was immediately loaned back to the Buddies for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old winger has played a key role in Jack Ross’s side’s successful quest to win the Scottish Championship title and win automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership for the 2018-19 campaign.
Morgan has scored 14 goals and providing nine assists in 35 Scottish Championship appearances for St. Mirren this season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The Scotland Under-21 international has revealed that he had offers from clubs other than Celtic in the January transfer window and is confident of breaking into Brendan Rodgers’s side next season.

Morgan told The Daily Record: “I wouldn’t have signed if I didn’t think I could break into the squad. There were other options but I couldn’t turn down Celtic.
“I have got supreme confidence in myself and I know that if I can do what I have been doing this season for St Mirren and translate that on to the bigger stage and make that step up, then there’s no reason why not.”

Bold decision?
Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are the best team in Scotland at the moment, and it is not hard to see why Morgan was tempted to move to Celtic Park.
However, it is going to be very tough for the 21-year-old to establish himself in he Celtic team next season.
There will be tough competition for places, and Morgan will have to hit the ground running at Celtic Park.
Will Morgan regret his decision to join Celtic when he had other offers? Only time will tell.
