The Gers lost the match 3-2 and relinquished any hopes of challenging the Hoops for the league title this season.
Morgan has revealed that he was at Ibrox for the match, and the Scotland Under-21 international has admitted that he was not recognised by the Celtic fans.
The 21-year-old winger joined Celtic on a permanent contract from St Mirren in the January transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £300,000, and was immediately loaned back to the Buddies for the rest of the season.
Morgan told The Scottish Sun: “I was in with the fans at Ibrox, the atmosphere was great. It was the same for the Champions League game.
“To be fair, I wasn’t really recognised when I went to Ibrox. One or two guys did spot me but I was in an area with other families.”
Quality player
Morgan is one of the best players the Scottish Championship, and has been a key figure in St. Mirren already winning the title and gaining automatic promotion to the Premier League for the 2018-19 campaign.
The youngster will be a key player for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic in the Scottish Premiership new season.
