Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers and Leeds United reportedly want Lewis Macleod of Brentford.
Lewis MacLeod scores for Rangers at Ibrox
Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers are interested in bringing Lewis Macleod to Ibrox next summer, according to The Scottish Sun, with Leeds United also claimed to be interested in the Brentford central midfielder.
Macleod has reportedly turned down a new contract offer from Brentford, with Rangers and Leeds claimed to be interested in signing the 24-year-old central midfielder on a free transfer next summer.
The central midfielder started his professional club football career at Rangers, who sold him to Brentford in the Championship in England in January 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £850,000.
The Scotsman did well during his time at Rangers, but the midfielder should not go back to Ibrox and should look at moving to Leeds instead.

Danny Wilson returned to Rangers in 2015, but the Scottish central defender failed to make a huge impact in his second spell at Ibrox and is now at the Colorado Rapids.
Rangers have enough quality midfielders, and Macleod would struggle to establish himself in the first team at Ibrox.
Leeds are one of the biggest clubs in England, and the West Yorkshire outfit would be a good destination for Macleod next season.
