Should Aston Villa hand the managerial job to Kevin MacDonald?
Colchester United defender Lewis Kinsella has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Aston Villa should appoint Kevin MacDonald as their new manager.
Villa are on the search for a new manager following the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo.
As announced on the Championship club’s official website on Monday morning, Steve Clarke will take over as caretaker manager during the search for a new boss.
Kinsella, who left Villa at the end of the 2015-16 season, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the dismissal of Di Matteo.
The 22-year-old Colchester defender has suggested that the Villans should appoint Kevin MacDonald as the permanent manager of the club.
MacDonald has worked as an assistant Villa manager and with the club’s Reserves before.
Villa got relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of last season.
The Villans were expected to at least fight for a top-six finish in the Championship this season, but things have gone horribly wrong so far.
Villa are 19th in the league table at the moment with 10 points from 11 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
