Ferrari Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has driven some of the most incredible road cars of all time.
In the past, Lewis Hamilton has been spotted driving a McLaren P1, a Ferrari LaFerrari and a Mercedes-AMG Project One.
His move from Mercedes to Ferrari for the 2025 Formula 1 season has also given him access to even more Italian supercars should he desire.
A resident of Monaco, Hamilton is constantly surrounded by some of the finest road cars on Earth.
George Russell also owns a Mercedes Project One, which he uses as his ‘everyday car’ on the streets of the principality.
Hamilton has since announced that he got rid of his incredible collection of cars, but that doesn’t mean he’s not on the lookout for his next toy.
The seven-time world champion isn’t exactly short of cash, and already has his eye on one of Ferrari’s most iconic models.

Lewis Hamilton admits he would love to own a Ferrari F40 one day
In an interview with Motorsport ahead of the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season, Hamilton was asked about his collection.
He said: “I don’t have any cars anymore
“I don’t have any cars, so I got rid of all my cars. I’m more into art nowadays.
“If I was going to get a car, it would be the F40. But that’s a nice piece of art.”
Only 1,311 F40s were ever produced between 1987 and 1996, with the two-door supercar capable of a top speed of around 197 mph.
Legendary designer Gordon Murray wasn’t a big fan of the car, and told Motor Trend Magazine when asked about the F40: “It’s the lack of weight that makes the Ferrari so exciting. There’s nothing else magic about the car at all.
“It’s not even ’60s technology, from a frame point of view, it’s ’50s twin-tube technology, not even a spaceframe.”
Lewis Hamilton describes the Ferrari he would love to design over ‘the next few years’
Hamilton has plenty of ambitions for when he eventually retires from Formula 1.
Tom Cruise has suggested Hamilton could go into acting, while he’s also produced his own music in the past.
Continuing on the theme of cars, Hamilton said: “One of the things I really want to do is I want to design a Ferrari.
“I want to do an F44. Baseline of an F40, with the actual stick shift. That’s what I’m gonna work on for the next few years.”
It’s believed that Hamilton’s previous car collection had a value of around £13m, and it will be interesting to see whether he starts to build that back up when he eventually steps away from Formula 1.
For now, his sole focus is still on racing and helping Ferrari return to the top of Formula 1.
The upcoming rule changes could be the key to Ferrari winning their first championship since 2008.
