The Sunderland ace has been arguably the only shining light for the Black Cats this term.

Sunderland were leading 3-1 at Griffin Park on Saturday, before conceding two second-half goals which prevented them from taking all three points from west London – a result that kept them firmly entrenched in the relegation zone.
Grabban, 29, has actually enjoyed a fine campaign thus far, from a personal perspective at least, scoring five goals in nine Championship outings, following his loan move from Premier League outfit Bournemouth.

And the pacey front-man spoke to reporters about how the Wearsiders’ failure to cut out repeated mistakes is proving to be extremely detrimental to their ability to pick up positive results this season, as quoted by the Northern Echo:
“The third goal was a deflection, so in terms of the goal it was a bit unlucky. We made too many mistakes in the second half. In terms of the goal it is down to luck, but the performance dipped a bit – I still think the attitude and application was at a high standard, but I think a couple of mistakes led to mounting pressure.”
