Leeds United reportedly wanted Nottingham Forest striker Lewis Grabban when he was on loan at Aston Villa from Bournemouth.
Back in June 2018, The Yorkshire Evening Post reported of Leeds United’s interest in Lewis Grabban when the former Bournemouth striker was on loan at Championship rivals Aston Villa.
It was reported that Leeds looked into the possibility of signing Grabban on loan from Premier League club Bournemouth around the time of his appearance for Villa on loan in the Championship playoff final.
The 30-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, eventually joined Forest from Bournemouth in July 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Forest to be worth £6 million.
Leeds could be made to regret their decision not to follow up their (reported) initial interest in the striker this weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side will take on Forest at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday evening, and Grabban is set to start for the Reds.
The striker is in brilliant form at the moment, and has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 10 Championship starts for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Forest are playing well, and with Grabban in form, Aitor Karanka’s side will fancy their chances of picking up all three points at Elland Road.
