Lewis Cook sends message to Bournemouth fans

Bournemouth star is closing in on a comeback.

Lewis Cook is getting closer and closer to a Bournemouth first team comeback.

Cook suffered an ACL injury last season, just when he was beginning to really settle in and establish his place in the Bournemouth side.

Cook featured this week in a behind closed doors friendly with QPR.

The midfielder played an hour, with Jordon Ibe scoring a hat-trick in the win.

Cook sent a message to supporters on Twitter after the return.

Cook joined Bournemouth from Leeds United in 2016.

Touted as a future England captain, he has not quite fulfilled his potential yet, but he is only 22 years old.

This season is all about recovery for him, and his challenge is to establish himself back in the Cherries first team. It seems he is making positive progress.
