Leeds United are said to be keen to snap up Lewis Baker from Chelsea.

According to the Daily Mirror, Leeds United are chasing a deal for Lewis Baker and the Chelsea youngster could turn out to be an inspired addition at Elland Road.

Baker’s career has stalled in recent times, but as a teenager he was considered one of England’s brightest talents.

Baker enjoyed a wonderful season in Holland with Vitesse, and although he has struggled in two loans spell in the Championship, that should not put Leeds off.

Baker is still only 23, so he has time on his side, as he looks to fulfil his potential.

And if Leeds could bring in the attacking midfielder, then Marcelo Bielsa could be making a great signing.

Baker’s value will not have ever been lower than it is right now, after his poor loan spell with Middlesbrough last term, but Bielsa looks a much better choice of manager for him than Tony Pulis was at the Riverside.

Bielsa will encourage Baker to get on the ball and show off his undoubted ability in possession.

Baker also has the energy required to press from the front, as Bielsa demands.

And Leeds could be the perfect place for Baker to develop, as he looks to get back to his best again.
