Manchester City fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours there is ‘no chance’ Harry Kane will line up against Tottenham on the opening day of next season.
The Premier League fixtures for the 2021/22 campaign were announced on Wednesday, with Man City making an opening trip to Tottenham.
There have been well-documented rumours that Kane, 27, wants to leave Spurs this summer, with Man City being one of his possible destinations, as reported by Sky Sports.
But the Telegraph report on the backdrop of all these rumours, insiders are suggesting that Levy won’t let his main man leave before that game against Man City.
Those in North London may need a new manager, but the Premier League champions need a new number nine after the departure of Sergio Aguero.
And those at the Etihad are desperate for a new face to come in, so with these rumours surfacing regarding Kane, some Man City fans would like to see their club push for Erling Haaland instead.
With the financial power Man City have, it’s a case of take your pick, really with the duo.
It will probably be more difficult for the champions to land Kane’s talents because of how stubborn Levy can be.
But with the current situation at Spurs, no manager, no Champions League football, the club in decline and an ageing squad then it doesn’t exactly help their situation in trying to keep Kane.
Either way, Man City fans have reacted to what Levy is rumoured to be planning with Kane ahead of that opening fixture:
