‘Levy would faint’: Some Spurs fans cannot believe transfer claim about La Liga player

Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to claims that they can ‘meet the demands’ to sign Antoine Griezmann.

Spanish outlet ABC claims that debt-ridden Barcelona are willing to sell one of their most expensive assets.

Tottenham, along with their Premier League rivals Chelsea, are seen as clubs who can secure his talents this summer.

Spurs fans simply cannot believe what they are reading because they fully understand how they operate.

Of course, the North London club would have to sell Harry Kane first in order to meet these demands, but once again, it doesn’t seem feasible from the supporters perspective.

Whilst Fabio Paratici is the man directing Tottenham’s on-field ship now, the man still sitting at the top is Daniel Levy.

And there is no way that he would pay such enormous high wages for Griezmann, who has struggled at the Nou Camp since his £107 million move two years ago (BBC Sport).

Not only that, he recently turned 30 and it’s not like he has the prime years of his career ahead of him.

Given the way Tottenham operate in the market, it would be a surprise to see Griezmann land on their doorstep this summer.
