Newcastle United fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours that Tottenham are seemingly interested in Antonio Conte again.
There are fresh concerns over Nuno Espirito Santo’s future at Spurs, after their 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday evening, where the home fans were constantly booing in the second half.
Given those rumours, Conte’s name, which has also been linked with Newcastle’s, is seemingly back on the North London radar.
Alfredo Pedulla has claimed that Fabio Paratici is in favour of bringing his fellow countryman to Spurs.
There were also heavy summer links between Spurs possibly going for Conte, before Nuno came in.
Newcastle United fans have offered a mixed reaction to these rumours about Conte possibly going to Spurs.
On one hand, some can’t see it happening, whilst others question why the London club could possibly sack Nuno and bring in a new manager before they have brought anybody in.
It has been over a week since Newcastle sacked Steve Bruce, yet they aren’t any closer to bringing in a replacement – sitting in the relegation zone with no wins doesn’t help matters.
The Magpies certainly have the money to lure a Conte to the North East, but would he want to be involved in a relegation battle? Probably not.
As for Spurs, they aren’t in the Champions League, so once again, would he want to take their hotseat when there is pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United?
Once again, it’s probably going to take something big and persuasive to bring the former Chelsea boss in.
