
Well, he’s only 27, but it looks like Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has decided on his resting place already.
The England international has revealed to The Evening Standard that he wishes to have his ashes scattered at Spurs’ stadium in North London.
Tottenham moved into their new home two years ago and it is one of the most remarkable stadiums in Europe.
There is a number of innovative features – such as a retractable pitch – and the entire cost of the project is reported to have totaled some £1 billion.
And it looks like Dier himself is a massive fan of the ground.
When asked by The Evening Standard where he’d like to be buried, Dier, who joined Tottenham in 2014, said: “I’d have my ashes scattered in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.”
The former Sporting Lisbon starlet has endured a difficult last few months in Jose Mourinho’s side, culminating in being dropped by the Portuguese coach.
