Tim Sherwood has stated that Harry Winks, Danny Rose and Dele Alli have ‘devalued’ at Tottenham, as posted by DAZN.

Two of those players – Winks and Alli, were bit-part under the now-sacked, Jose Mourinho, whereas Rose wasn’t even handed a Tottenham squad number for this season.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if either Winks or Alli are straight into Tottenham’s starting XI tonight, as they take on Southampton, with Ryan Mason in the hot seat until the end of the season.

But Sherwood, who has managed many of these players, who including Tottenham’s new stand-in coach, shared his thoughts three players.

“The devaluation of Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Danny Rose, an England international, and he’s not even got a shirt number,” said Sherwood.

“When you look at the value of the squad that he (Mourinho) inherited to the value of the squad that is now going to leave, it’s a lot less finances. And Daniel Levy will be looking at that, it’s not good.”

Whilst the above statement is correct, only one of those players – Winks – was playing well and for England when Mourinho first joined.

Alli was already on the decline, out of Tottenham’s squad and he needed picking up, so his rot started before Mourinho’s arrival.

And the same definitely can be said of Rose, who had fallen out of favour with Pochettino, and at one point, wasn’t even taken on the club’s pre-season tour.
