Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Ryan Mason’s comments about whether he has been a success during his small stint in charge.
Many were left surprised at the timing of Jose Mourinho’s sacking and even more raised an eyebrow when Daniel Levy opted to hand a 29-year-old the Tottenham job until the end of the season.
Whilst Spurs haven’t made any progression under Mason, it could also be argued that he hasn’t exactly made them entirely worse.
In his pre-match press conference, ahead of Spurs’ crucial final day showdown against Leicester, Mason stated that he thinks the club have made changes that will help them ‘go forward’ under his stewardship.
In truth, the anger will increase to much higher levels if Spurs lose at the King Power and miss out on Europe altogether.
But that frustration and anger clearly shouldn’t be vented at Mason, but those upstairs.
Spurs fans made their feelings clear during their defeat to Aston Villa by booing at half-time and when the final whistle was blown.
That wasn’t just frustration in what they were watching in that game but what’s been happening all season, and before that.
It is a farce that Tottenham have a temporary 29-year-old in charge, fears grow Kane will leave, they attempted and failed to enter the European Super League and they don’t even have a name to their stadium.
Well done Daniel Levy!
Nonetheless, this is what Spurs fans had to say following Mason’s comments:
