Presenter and all-round transfer guru, Jim White, has claimed on talkSPORT (01/02/21 at 10:15 am) that Daniel Levy has turned down four offers for Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli from PSG.

In the summer, the Ligue 1 champions were keen to bring the attack-minded Spurs star to France, but a move didn’t materialise.

So, when a certain Mauricio Pochettino rocked up in Paris, it only increased the rumours that Alli could be reuniting with the man that brought him to North London in 2015.

Well, White has now claimed that even though Jose Mourinho and Alli are happy for him to leave, a certain Levy isn’t.

“It’s my understanding that PSG want him,” said White. “Pochettino wants him.

“Dele Alli wants to go. And so do his representatives, they want him to go because further down the line, they want him to play with the Euros in mind.

“Jose Mourinho, it’s my understanding, is more than happy that he goes. Daniel Levy has said ‘no’.

“So, all in all, they have turned down, as I understand it, three loan offers from PSG for Alli, and another one now. And Levy still saying no.”

This is a problematic situation for Tottenham because, on one hand, they have a 100k-a-week star [Spotrac] on their books who doesn’t look like increasing his minutes on the pitch.

Mourinho clearly isn’t a fan of the player, and if he ends up staying at Spurs, then he will probably be in a situation where he struggles just to get into the matchday squad.

That would only decrease his value, which doesn’t help Tottenham’s cause, but Levy knows exactly what Alli is capable of, so there is perhaps a reluctance to let him leave because of that.
