Daniel Levy has reportedly opened talks with Antonio Conte over signing a new contract at Tottenham amid reports that Juventus want to bring the Italian manager back to Turin in 2023.
According to the Atheltic, the Spurs chairman has been in discussions with Conte about signing a new deal with the north London side, with Levy and Tottenham confident that the Premier League manager will agree to a fresh contract to keep him at the club.
Conte’s future has been a major talking point in recent weeks following reports from Italy that the 53-year-old coach is Juventus’ first-choice pick to replace Massimiliano Allegri next summer, with the Serie A giants enduring one of their worst seasons in recent memory.
With a reported weekly wage of £288,000-a-week according to the Telegraph, Conte is currently one of the best paid-managers in Europe, and Tottenham getting the Italian to sign a new contract could result in a further pay rise which might be enough to sway the former Inter Milan coach to remain in the English capital.

Indeed, Conte has been at Tottenham for one year now, and whilst there has been no sign of winning silverware, the improvements the Italian has made to the club are undeniable, with Spurs sitting comfortably in a top-four spot after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League last season.
And Levy opening talks with Conte over signing a new contract is exactly what Tottenham fans want from their chairman, with the club on the right path under the former Chelsea boss even amid reports of Juventus being interested in appointing the one-time Premier League winner.
Conte signing new contract with Tottenham will be bigger than any signing

Conte’s impact for Tottenham has been incredible, and for the north London side, getting the Italian to commit to another contract will be a huge boost to their future ambitions, with the former Juventus boss arguably Spurs’ best shot at ending their trophy draught.
After all, Conte is a manager who has proved he can get results at almost any club he manages, and winning silverware with Tottenham will be a huge accomplishment for the former Juventus manager, with the Old Lady seemingly a step down at this stage.
