Tottenham Hotspur fans feel that a return for Mauricio Pochettino may be possible after PSG’s defeat to Manchester City last night.
Tottenham are still searching for a replacement for Jose Mourinho, and there doesn’t appear to be an outstanding candidate available.
Spurs have been linked with a whole host of names, but many of their top choices seem to have stuck with their current clubs.
Brendan Rodgers and Erik ten Hag have both seemingly declined a potential move to Spurs, leaving Daniel Levy’s options limited.
Spurs fans feel that Pochettino may just become available again in the near future though.
PSG’s defeat to City means that they have now crashed out of the Champions League once again.
The French side are also far from guaranteed to win Ligue 1 this term, with Pochettino failing to have the impact many expected.
Although the Argentine was hardly at fault for last night’s defeat against a brilliant City team, PSG have famously been ruthless with their previous managers.
And some Tottenham fans appear to believe that Pochettino could well be sacked, which would leave the possibility of a return on the cards.
Pochettino has previously suggested that he does want to return to Tottenham.
Ever since the Argentine left he has only spoken positively about the North London club.
However, such a swift return still seems unlikely – even if PSG do part company with him in the coming days.
