Some Tottenham fans have been reacting to reports claiming that they’ve made contact with Nikola Milenkovic.
Reports in Italy are claiming that Spurs have been in touch with the Fiorentina defender with a view to a move to north London in the summer.
As you can imagine, this got Spurs fans very excited.
Tottenham have been on the trail of a number of defenders as of late, and now it seems as though they’re really stepping up their pursuit.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly very keen to strengthen that area of Spurs’ squad, and Milenkovic would certainly fit the bill.
Unfortunately for Tottenham, Liverpool have also been in touch with the player’s agent, so a transfer tussle could be on the cards.
Milenkovic is likely to be in demand with his contract coming to an end in 2022, and while Spurs have acted early on their interest, there’s bound to be a number of suitors chasing the Serbia international.
