Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting to ESPN’s report about Jose Mourinho’s future at the club.
The report states that Daniel Levy has decided that he won’t make a decision on Mourinho’s future until the end of the season, and it seems as though a number of Spurs fans believe that’s a good decision.
We can understand why as well, Mourinho is going through a rough patch, but the man still has undeniable quality as a manager, and he’s shown he can get a tune out of this Spurs side when everyone is fit and firing.
Let’s not forget that earlier this season Tottenham were being touted as title contenders, and while performances have dipped in recent months, it’s not impossible for Mourinho to turn things around.
As one fan says, there’s nobody available at the moment with a better CV than Mourinho, so giving him more time in the job makes a lot of sense.
Add into this the fact that ESPN report that it would cost around £30m to get rid of him, we have to feel that they’d be better off investing into the squad, with one fan suggesting they should put that money towards a centre-half.
