Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing the internal view within Tottenham around Heung-Min Son.
Aside from his hat-trick against Leicester City a fortnight ago, Son hasn’t been in the best of form this season, but that certainly doesn’t take away from his years of good service in north London.
The winger was, of course, the co-Golden Boot winner last season, and he’s been a fan favourite at Tottenham for the longest time.
According to Romano, it’s not just the fans who love Son, the journalist says that Daniel Levy, Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte all absolutely adore Son and what he brings to this team.
Tottenham’s golden boy
Romano spoke about how much Son is loved by the higher-ups at Tottenham.
“No, honestly with Son he was never close to leaving this summer and for one reason. Daniel Levy is in love with him, Conte is in love with him and Fabio Paratici is in love with him and he loves Tottenham, he loves the club, he loves the city, he loves the team, and so Son is not desperate to leave and Tottenham are super happy with him,” Romano said.
Impossible not to love him
Heung-Min Son is the ultimate professional and one of the most talented footballers on the planet, it’s genuinely impossible not to love him as a player.
The 30-year-old is a superstar in every sense of the word except for his ego. He never seems to sulk, and when he was put on the bench for the first time in a long time against Leicester, he put his head down and made sure he wasn’t going to be ignored next time around – netting a hat-trick against the Foxes.
Son is an absolute gem of a footballer, and there’s a reason Spurs have no intention to part ways with the attacker anytime soon.
